Jamal Mashburn Jr. Joins Westchester Knicks in G League Draft
Jamal Mashburn Jr., a talented guard and son of NBA All-Star Jamal Mashburn Sr., was picked eighth overall by the Westchester Knicks in the 2025 NBA G League Draft. After a strong season at Temple, where he averaged 22 points per game and started all 23 games, his performance was impacted by a toe injury that kept him out of the final ten games of the season. Mashburn Jr. previously played three years at New Mexico and a freshman year at Minnesota under coach Richard Pitino. During his time with the Owls, he emerged as a key scorer, achieving over 20 points in 16 games, including a standout performance of 34 points in a double-overtime victory against Charlotte. His selection marks another significant moment for Westchester Knicks as they continue to build their roster in the G League.
